Some areas do not receive daily deliveries from Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers), and may only receive delivery 1 or 2 days per week. Once received by Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers) delivery depot in those areas, your parcel will be delivered on their next scheduled delivery day. You can locate your local Aramex Courier (formerly Fastway Couriers) to view their timetable for your area.
Some delivery addresses are not covered by Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers) network, for example if the only way to deliver is via a PO Box, at which time we will use Australia Post for delivery which will result in insurance cover not being available for the delivery.
There has been an unfortunate increase in the fraudulent use of cards when placing online orders. Please be advised that you MAY be asked to provide photo evidence of your identity and the card used to place your order. IF we require you to supply this information we will contact you via your email or phone number provided with your order. Your parcel will be held in our Warehouse until receipt of satisfactory evidence. Please understand that this is an effort to protect both your identity and cards, and shield our family business against further losses related to this type of fraud. We reserve the right to blacklist an address that has been involved in suspicious activity and/or fraud.
NOTE: Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers) WILL NOT ACCEPT PARCELS FOR DELIVERY TO A P.O. BOX, PARCEL DELIVERY BOX OR SIMILAR SERVICE, AS A SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED UPON DELIVERY.
A message from Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers) Couriers Update to Delivery Procedures during COVID-19 restrictions:
To minimise the risk of spreading or contracting coronavirus, signatures will not be obtained for parcel delivery. If the courier cannot deliver the package to a safe place, they will leave a calling card with further instructions. In this instance, the parcel will be dropped in to a local Parcel Connect outlet for collection at a convenient time, or returned to the nearest depot for redelivery.
In the case of alcohol deliveries, our Courier Franchisee will ask your customer to confirm their first and last name and will enter these details into the scanner on their behalf. No signature will be required, allowing for a contactless delivery to take place.
These will be temporary measures during the COVID-19 situation, and we will advise you at a future date when the policy is updated. Our conditions of carriage have been updated and are available on Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers) website.
All the parcels we send out use track and trace facilities and require a signature on delivery by default. So ideally the parcel will arrive when you are at the address you arranged, you sign for it and everything is complete.
We use several couriers and postal systems however by default we despatch orders by Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers). When using Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers), if the delivery is attempted to your address and no one is able to sign for it, then they simply transfer it to a nearby depot and leave a "Sorry we missed you" card with a number to call to arrange a re-delivery.
You might prefer for the parcel to be left at your delivery address in your absense. This is called "Authority to Leave".
If you would prefer for the delivery person to leave the parcel for you in your absense, please just put an authority to leave note (and your prefered location for the goodies to be left) in the "Order Comments" box in the Order Confirmation section during the checkout process. For examples "If no one is home please leave by the front door". Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that the person making the delivery will specifically follow the location instructions exactly but, delightfully, we have used this authority to leave many hundreds of times without any issues.
It is important to consider that if you give us authority to leave the consignment in your absence then we can no longer guarantee that you will receive your consignment, nor the other factors that can effect your parcel whilst it is sitting unattended - like rain, heat, dirt, damage, etc. In this situation, we can only guarantee delivery and quality up to the point that the track and trace tells us the goods were left for you.
